Intro:

  • update staff list (principal and board member has to decide the staff list for next year first)
  • staff from previous year can still access registration system until September of this school year (e.g. during summer time)
  • only program records will be copied over – class will have to be entered manually (create new based on number of students registred)
  • for each program – update the fee section based on the new fee of the new school year
  • program size will have to be adjusted based on instructor/TA/resources
  • resources required for each class – anything begin with “Assigned”
  • you’re ready to take students when teaching resource and facility resource are completed

  • add new period – copy and paste from last year (base period – template –copy from: all programs, classes, teachers and facility location and staff)
  • fee info can be found in registration form on www
  • note is for principal to make announcement on registration status page if necessary
  • period naming has to be yyyy-yyyy+1
    • family action categories
  • update reg site so that parents can register
  • use update family/student record by staff

  2. Input/update 2011-2012 “Period” profile that includes late fee, registration fee, tuition, etc information – Principal(or VP)/Treasurer
  3. Input/update all designed Language & Cultural Programs – Language/Cultural Directors
  4. Input/update all potential Teachers and SI/TA profile information – Language/Cultural Directors
  5. Input/update all potential facility and space planning profile information – Principal(or VP)/Language/Cultural Directors
  6. Update reg site to allow parent to register for 2011-20112– IT
  7. Open online registration to Parents – – Principal (or VP) /Secretary/Postmaster (email)
  8. Make online directory available to parent – IT
  9. Start input check received information and produce financial status reports – Treasurer
  10. Start create classes and assign/reassign students and teaching resources when time closes to the end of normal registration period – Language/Cultural Directors

2011-2012 online registration is ready for your update. The new year 2011-2012’s Tuition Info, Staff, Teacher/SI/TA, Language, Cultural programs, Facility records are created using 2010-2011 records as a base. As usual, all staff share certain update responsibilities to bring the process to successful completion.  Let us work together again to put it to work.

 

As I mentioned, the high-level process to complete the registration cycle are as follows step 1 through 11.

Most of the steps depends the completion of previous steps. Therefore, please pay attention to where your responsible steps are and follow up with previous steps owner and make sure you have enough time and correct data in the DB ready for you to complete your own step(s).

 

Here is how to enter to the registration site to do you updates:

click Registration (on left-side menu) –>

click “allow to continue (or click on “not recommended…” to continue) when encounter certificate warning page —>

click the left-side menu item “staff login” (please note this is not the same as where parents log in) —>

–>  enter your username/password to login

–> click “manage” on the row “2011-2012” to enter the action menu or click on “2011-2012” to update Tuition related info.

Please note the current staff (2010-2011) login can last up to 09/2011, the new staff should fully take over all responsibility on registration after that.

 

(Shao-Min, you would need to go to the reg site as shown above, update 2011-2012 staff info including yourself with their new title and contact email as login and provide your team members their password that you initialize them when new staff record created.  You can use the “forget email” feature on the staff login page to send password to each of your team member password to their own email account)

 

Please also note that the current staff also has a responsibility to pass down the new 2011-2012 staff all the registration update details including how and what, and when. Of course I will be helping in answering any question that you may have too.
