2015 Monmouth County Chinese Summer Camp (MCCSC) Introduction
Every summer students look forward to the Monmouth Chinese Summer Camp. This is a camp with more than 10 years of history and its goal is to combine learning Chinese culture arts with fun. This year, the camp will be held at Holmdel High School from 9 AM to 5 PM, 8/17 – 8/21. We are excited to have two cultural teachers from Taiwan to teach the students dance, Chinese Yo-Yo, and other Chinese culture arts. We also have crafts, painting, and lots of fun group activities. The teaching in classrooms is mainly done in Mandarin, but each class will have English speaking TAs to help the students understanding the instruction. This is a good opportunity to help your children get more exposure to spoken Chinese. A student performance will be on the last day (8/21) in the afternoon to show the parents what the students have learned in the camp. This camp will be a memorable experience filled with culture, arts, fun and friends.
The camp will take interested students from ages 6-15, and is not limited to children from Chinese families. Please see the registration form for camp fee information. The camp fee includes the materials, daily lunches/snacks/drinks, and a free class photo. The camp fee can be filed for Daycare Flexible Spending to save tax. If you would like to register or have any questions, please feel free to contact this year Camp Director, Derek Chang, Email: summercamp2015@njfcs.org, or TEL: 732-701-7746. You can also download the camp registration form from https://www.njfcs.org/2015-summer-camp/
