Thank you to all of our volunteers for taking part of this year’s Passport to Taiwan Festival in NYC! We hope everyone had a good time. Every volunteer and performer did a fantastic job in front a crowd of estimated 50,000 attendees. Major Chinese Newspapers have covered the event with photos of FCS students. The FCS Choir sang the national anthem to kick off the event (Our Facebook page has the video recording). Our YoYo team not only performed on the stage, they also experienced street performance in the Big Apple, attracting a big crowd and earning loud cheers. Overall, it was a good publicity, many onlookers were surprised to see we had so many talented students and ask about our school. Many organizations even asked if we can come to their events. Special thanks to Sharon, Doris, Ada, Sherry and Peipei for hosting the food stand. It was by far the hardest job overall. They helped Passport to Taiwan Committee sold over 1500+ orders of traditional Taiwanese Food in few hours and also thanks to Shumei and JuuWha’s families for helping out with the busy art and craft section. Although the organization provided free lunch to all volunteers, I didn’t think they got a chance to take a bite.

2017 Monmouth Monmouth Monmouth County Chinese Summer Camp Introduction (Highly Recommended!)   (This camp runs by both Jersey Shore Chinese School and Fidelity Chinese School).

Every summer many students look forward to the Monmouth Chinese Summer Camp. This is

a camp with more than 10 years of history and its goal is to combine learning Chinese culture

arts with fun. This year, the camp will be held at Holmdel High School from 9 AM to 5 PM,

8/21 – 8/25. We are excited to have two professional cultural teachers from Taiwan to teach

the campers dance and Chinese Yo-Yo. We also have ping-pong, Chinese crafts, painting,

and lots of fun group activities. The instruction in classrooms will be conducted in Chinese

and English, so not knowing Chinese is not an issue at all. This is a good opportunity to help

your children get more exposure to spoken Chinese. A student performance will be on the

last day (8/25) in the afternoon to show the parents what the students have learned in the

camp. This camp will be a memorable experience filled with culture, arts, fun and friends.

The camp will take interested students from ages 6-14, and is opened to the entire community.

Please see the registration form for camp fee information. The camp fee includes the

materials, daily lunches/two snacks/drinks, and a free class photo. The camp fee can be filed

for Day care Flexible Spending to save tax. If you would like to register please download the

It’s not too early to start thinking. Dr. Lin, based on more than ten years to help students with the experience of the ideal university, and the latest students apply for college this year.
